MASTER EVERY SECOND
This Atacama Field 1970 watch is inspired by its namesake, the Atacama Desert. The timepiece presents a large dial that displays the 12- & 24-hour clock, along with a red tipped second hand and red arrow next to the date at 3 o’clock for instant readability. The dial is protected by sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. The 43 mm CARBONOX™ case is matched with a black rubber strap.
Field Watches
Rooted in the essence of the field watches, the simplistic yet unique design, combined with its Luminox Light Technology offers ultimate clarity to perform its essential role in harsh climates.
It's CARBONOX™ case makes it very lightweight and a more affordable adventure watch compared to existing models.
This series is suited for the keen explorer of harsh environments that require simple readability, both day and night.
Swiss Made
Luminox is extremely proud to be Swiss Made. But what does this mean? A watch brand can claim to be Swiss Made when at least 60% of the manufacturing costs and the essential manufacturing of the watch head (so excluding the strap) occurs in Switzerland.
Luminox Light Technology
The Luminox Light Technology (LLT) provides unmatched night visibility through a self-powered illumination system that lasts up to 25 years. Each Luminox watch features micro gas lights (borosilicate glass capsules), which are always lit, on the hands, hour markers and, when necessary, on the bezel.
CARBONOX™ Case
Luminox uses an innovative carbon compound material - CARBONOX™ - for its ultra-lightweight watches. CARBONOX™ is six times lighter than steel, three times lighter than titanium, non-metallic, anti-allergenic and anti-magnetic. CARBONOX™ has strong chemical resistance, very low thermal extension, low heat expansion and is weatherproof - creating a very rigid and hard finished watch case that takes ruggedness and durability to a whole new level.
